Sea Bridges
海の架け橋
Panamá ↔ Imabari, Japan
A bilateral artistic residency built on a fifty-year sister-city relationship — the prototype for how Bridges strengthens a bond across the widest cultural distance.
Bridges for Dialogue identifies bridges worth strengthening and creates the experiences that help people cross them together. These are the bridges we are strengthening now — real relationships, with mutual interest, commitment, and activity.
Not every bridge needs the same thing. Some are strengthened, some renewed, some transformed. We focus on bridges where there is mutual interest, possibility, and the commitment to sustain the relationship long after a single program ends. A bridge is real when it outlives any one sponsor.
